CONRATULATIONS MALCOLM AND JOE!!

Our Service Manager Malcolm Simons and one of our Top Technicians Joe Elliot competed last Friday in the bracket race at Redline Raceway. Both of the Boys made it to the semi-finals. Malcolm took home the WIN!! Great job Malcolm and Joe—keep making Jupiter Chevrolet look great, and a big congratulations to the both of you!!

Malcolm with His Pants Down?…Interesting….

Our esteemed Service Manager, Malcom Simons is in the photo below with his pants down to his ankles. Why would he be photographed like this knowing that we would put him on the blog?

Good question. I don’t think he thought that far ahead.

Malcolm raced all season at Redline Raceway this summer, and made it to the bracket finals at Pine Valley Raceway, where this illustrious photo was captured. He made it through the eliminations at Pine Valley to the semifinals.

Malcolm not only raced the Jupiter Chevy Camaro, but he had a foot race as well. At Pine Valley, along with Drag Racing, they also paticipated in “Olympic Activities.” One of which is a foot race with your pants down to your ankles.

Malcolm may be a fantastic drag racer, but he couldn’t hold a candle to the lady to his left. She won the race. Malcolm, on top of it all, you have a photo on the Internet in your nice boxer briefs, but you also got beat by a girl.

WAY TO GO!!-we still love you though. Keep up the good work!

Malcolm has 3 Races left for the season. The next three Race Days are Friday September 5th, Friday, September 12th, and Friday, September 19th. He also plans on going to the bracket finals which are hosted on October 2nd though the 5th at Pine Valley Raceway in Lufkin, TX.

A Race To The Finish Line!

Most Friday nights it’s pretty easy to locate Service Manager Malcolm Simons. You just drive about 30 minutes East on I-30 until you get to Redline Raceway near Caddo Mills. Malcolm can be found strapped to the seat of his 1986 Camaro “bracket racing” for the fun of it.

The car is decorated in Jupiter Chevrolet inscription courtesy of Penn Industries and looks great on the bright red paint.

Jupiter employees can be seen at the track on Friday nights because of a love of the sport and the good family atmosphere at the track.

Malcolm says that they are still tinkering with the settings on the car to get it just right but he thinks he covers the 1/8 mile stretch at about an average of 94mph. More about Redline Raceway can be found at www.redlineraceway.com .

Racing car crashes at 100mph, flips in the air and erupts into a fireball… but the driver walks away almost scot-free

Somehow, Hunter Abbott not only emerged alive from the tangled wreckage after crashing at 100mph but did not even break a single bone.

Instead, the 27-year-old walked away with just minor burns to his hands and wrists after wrenching himself free as the vehicle burned around him.
